Let's speak only in English

I just read the last few pages of this thread, and from what I read it looks like some dudes are so full of themselves that they think they can be compared to Stephen King, when it's blatantly obvious they wouldn't be able to obtain a passing grade in a HS assessment essay.

I don't want to name any names, but it's quite easy to spot someone who uses wrong words in some sentences, it's not usual to "make conclusions" of any kind, as conclusions most of time are "drawn", even worse, writing "even worst", which doesn't even exist.

Stating that poetry "is liberal and no rules apply", is unjustifiable.

I -and maybe some other users with the proper knowledge- would gladly point out mistakes, so that those who are still learning can improve; but I don't want to have to argue with someone who is already a know-it-all and won't take advice from anyone.

You have good English. I would say that “make conclusions” can be valid, depending on the context.

TBH if someone wants to try to improve their 'inglich' by having a somewhat decent talk hit me up and let's see how awful our basics are. I always love to talk in english so doing it with a fellow cuy would be something new and interesting to try.

P.S: 'Guinea pig' word is an atrocious word, cuy is the way to go 😾

Bro what’s wrong with guinea pig???

Doesn't sound right to me, it'd be way more convenient to call it "cuy" so I introduce them to my fellas with the native name we all know and love. I just read that 'guinea pig' name has something to do with how worthy they were back then, a 'guinea' coin but still, it's just a bad name.

So I got this English job which is a need to speak English I know I'm fluent and I can speak very well and I understand almost anything of what the costumers are saying but when I got to talk I'm misunderstood words and I speak bullshit and when I'm trying to explain myself I cannot find the correct words to express myself

I learned English in school for many years, British English (Oxford English) and American English. If I watch BBC and CNN on Television, I understand the most words. My English knowledge is better than my Spanish knowledges.

No, English isn't my first language. My Mother Tongue is German, where I grew up. I didn't grow up bilingual, but in Germany we have to learn English with the age of 10. My English knowledge is not perfect, I know. But it's enough to travel abroad, where the people don't understand my original language.

(I speak less Spanish than English. That's what I wanted to tell).
